Nail Drill Myths!
Please read our opinion..
We have heard this argument hundreds of times over the decades - when Acrylic nails became popular in the UK, if you were seen using a electric nail files and wearing a mask you were labelled "A Bad Salon"
With over 17 years of experience in the nail industry and having trained in both hand emery files and electric nail files, in my honest opinion I don't believe that neither one is more or less intrusive.
It is very important to take into consideration when having any form on artificial enhancement place onto your body that it is going to be very difficult to not cause some kind of damage.
Let's consider this - if you have your hair bleached or use a sun bed, damage could be caused to your hair and skin. Same theory applies for your nails, some damage is unavoidable.
Simple put, choose the right technician! A hand file can also cause alot of damage if the technician has no idea what their doing! (Same applies for electric nail files) The right technician will guide you through your nail journey and will recommend giving your nails a break if the time comes.
With the right experience and training, electric files are no more intrusive as hand files, it is a skill and one which can give you precision when filing - giving a flawless finish and cutting down the treatment time. As we can probably agree that having your nails done is no longer a luxury, yet a necessity - the majority of us would prefer not to spend 2+ hours in the salon.
So yes, we do use electric files within our salon however, all our therapist have had in depth training and have years of experience. And as for the masks.. well I don't think we need to explain why we use these anymore...
